Putt-Putt Mastery: Authentic HTML5 Miniature Golf Simulator
Mini Golf recreates the whimsical charm, tactical geometry, and precision mechanics of world-class putt-putt courses in your web browser. Engineered with lightweight HTML5 Canvas physics and custom Web Audio API acoustic synthesis, this sports simulation challenges you to master 9 handcrafted holes filled with banked wooden rails, sandy deceleration bunkers, water hazard drops, and moving windmill blades. Whether you are on desktop with a mouse or on a phone with responsive touch dragging, every putt behaves according to real physical restitution and rolling friction.
How to Play Mini Golf
- Read the Fairway: Study the position of the hole cup, banking walls, sand bunkers, and moving hazards before striking the ball.
- Drag to Aim and Power: Click or press on the golf ball and drag in the opposite direction of your intended shot. The dotted trajectory line indicates flight direction, while arrow length represents stroke power.
- Release to Putt: Let go to swing the putter and propel the ball down the fairway.
- Overcome Hazards: Avoid water hazards which add a one-stroke penalty. Minimize time spent in sand traps to conserve speed.
- Sink the Putt: Roll the ball into the cup with moderate speed. If your shot approaches too hot, the ball will lip out over the rim!
The Physics of Turf Friction, Bank Angles, and Cup Restitution
Golf ball dynamics on miniature greens rely on rolling friction deceleration. On fairways, synthetic felt turf provides consistent linear damping, allowing balls to glide predictably across long flat stretches. In sand traps, granular resistance drastically increases the friction coefficient, slowing the ball almost instantaneously.
Wooden course borders are modeled with elastic bounce restitution, permitting precise bank shots where the angle of reflection equals the angle of incidence. The hole cup features rim collision detection: a ball entering at a controlled speed drops cleanly to the bottom, while an overly aggressive shot glances off the back edge and continues across the green.

Course Strategy: Hole-by-Hole Guide
Holes 1 to 3: The Opening Fairways
Hole 1 offers an inviting straightaway to calibrate your putting power. Hole 2 introduces the 90-degree dogleg; aim at the 45-degree corner bumper with medium power for a reliable bank shot directly into the cup. On Hole 3, curve your shot along the outer wooden rim to steer clear of the central sand trap.
Holes 4 to 6: The Windmill & Hazards
Hole 4 features the classic windmill obstacle. Time your release just as the bottom blade clears the entrance gap. Hole 5 is an island green surrounded by azure water; resist the temptation of maximum power and favor a controlled, delicate tap. Hole 6 features pinball-style bounce bumpers that can ricochet your ball directly toward the flag.
Holes 7 to 9: The Championship Stretch
Hole 7 tests elevation adjustments, while Hole 8 narrows into a funnel maze. On the Hole 9 finale, combine all your skills to navigate a dual-route fairway guarded by sand and moving gates to claim tournament glory!
