Precision on the Range: Authentic Olympic Target Archery
Archery Master brings the intense concentration and technical mastery of Olympic target archery to your screen. From the moment you step up to the shooting line, your senses are tested against changing crosswinds, distance ballistics, natural breathing tremors, and moving targets. Built completely from the ground up on modern HTML5 Canvas, this standalone bow-and-arrow simulator models real physical principles without bloated third-party game frameworks.
How to Play Archery Master
- Choose Your Skill Tier: Select Amateur (20m, light wind), Semi-Pro (50m, moderate wind), or Master (70m, moving targets and gusting crosswinds).
- Aim Your Sight Pin: On desktop, move your mouse or use the left/right arrow keys to align the circular sight reticle with the gold target center. On mobile, touch and drag anywhere on the range canvas.
- Check the Wind Indicator: Observe the wind vector at the top of the screen. A 4.0 m/s wind pointing rightward will carry your arrow to the right during its flight; compensate by aiming into the wind.
- Manage Archer Fatigue: Hold to draw your recurve bow. Releasing within 2–3 seconds delivers maximum accuracy; holding too long causes fatigue sway.
- Advance Through Stages: Each round grants 5 arrows. Reach qualifying score thresholds to unlock longer distances and oscillating target faces.
Target Scoring and Arrow Ballistics
The game uses official World Archery (FITA) target rings. Striking the inner X-ring or 10-ring awards 10 points and triggers a golden bullseye combo. Red rings score 8–7 points, Blue scores 6–5, Black scores 4–3, and White scores 2–1. Missing the target face entirely results in zero points.
Arrows follow realistic parabolic trajectory arcs. At 20 meters, flight time is rapid with minimal gravitational drop. At 50 and 70 meters, the arrow requires higher elevation to clear the trajectory arc, giving crosswinds significantly more time to push the shaft off-center.

Strategy Guide: From Novice to Tournament Champion
Beginner Tips
On Amateur mode, start by finding the target dead center. Don't rush your release—take a split second to ensure your sight ring is steady. Remember to release before the sight pin begins to wobble from bowstring fatigue.
Intermediate Strategies
At 50 meters, wind plays a decisive role. Calculate wind drift roughly: for every 2 m/s of crosswind, offset your aiming reticle by one full scoring ring in the opposite direction. If the wind is blowing at 3.0 m/s from left to right, place your reticle on the outer red ring on the left side to let the wind carry the arrow directly into the gold bullseye.
Advanced Championship Mastery
In Master tier, the target oscillates back and forth across the range. Do not track the target frantically. Instead, establish your crosshair at the point where the target reverses direction—its velocity drops to zero momentarily at the turning points, providing your best opportunity for a clean 10-ring strike.
