Number Puzzle vs Image Puzzle

Number Puzzle mode is the classic format: tiles numbered from one upward that must be arranged in ascending order around the empty space. Image Puzzle mode instead slices a full picture — generated procedurally from one of ten built-in themes, or from a photo you upload yourself — across every tile, so the numbers disappear and you're reconstructing a picture purely from color, edges, and shape continuity. Image mode is measurably harder at the same board size, because there's no explicit ordering to check against; your only reference is whether the picture looks right.

Campaign Mode

The 1,000-level campaign is organized into seven tiers, each introducing a genuinely new mechanic rather than just a bigger board. Beginner (1–100) uses a 3×3 grid with unlimited hints and unlimited undo so newcomers can experiment freely. Easy (101–250) moves to 4×4 with a basic timer and a real move counter. Every day brings one fixed, seeded puzzle in Daily Challenge mode, so every player faces exactly the same board that day — a fair way to compare solve times with friends. Logging in on consecutive days builds a streak that unlocks escalating rewards, from a small XP bonus on day one to a legendary reward on day seven, while Weekly Events and a Monthly Championship rotate in special themed boards for players chasing something new.

Timed Mode

Timed Mode adds a visible countdown to any puzzle size, rewarding players who can solve efficiently under pressure rather than only accurately. It pairs naturally with the Freeze Timer booster, which pauses the countdown for a short window — useful the moment you spot a tricky multi-step maneuver you need a few extra seconds to execute cleanly.

Scoring System

Your score combines a base value for solving the puzzle at all with bonus points for finishing in fewer moves than the level's estimated par and for finishing with time to spare. A perfectly efficient solve — at or under par with no undos used — earns the full three-star rating and the largest XP, coin, and gem payout.

Hint System

Requesting a hint highlights one tile that's a genuinely useful next move — not necessarily the only correct move, but one that reliably makes progress toward a solved board. Hints are unlimited on Beginner tier to support learning, then grow scarcer as the tiers get harder, mirroring how real solving skill should reduce your reliance on them over time.

Advanced Solving Techniques

Strong solvers work the board in layers rather than tile-by-tile at random. The standard approach is to fully complete the top row first, then the left column, reducing the remaining unsolved area by one row and one column at a time until only a small block remains, which is then solved using a short memorized sequence of moves.
