Obstacle Escape places you at the controls of a high-agility prototype cyber vessel trapped inside a lethal containment arena. Rather than facing predictable linear obstacles, hostile autonomous sentinel drones enter the arena from all perimeter edges and continuously adjust their heading to hunt your ship. Surviving demands constant spatial awareness, circular herding tactics, and clutch execution of your invulnerable Phase-Shift teleport dash.
How to Play: Core Survival Tactics
360° Omnidirectional Flight
Use keyboard arrow keys or touch drag controls to glide freely across the full 2D arena space. Maintain center positioning to avoid corner traps.
Herd Incoming Drones
Homing drones follow your exact coordinates. Group enemies into a single tight cluster behind your tail by executing sweeping circular flight arcs.
Execute Phase-Shift Dash
When boxed in, press Spacebar or tap Phase Dash to warp forward instantly. You are completely invulnerable during the dash and can safely pass through enemies.
Trigger EMP Shockwaves
Collect glowing cyan EMP orbs to discharge a full-arena electromagnetic pulse, vaporizing all active hunter drones and granting a massive score boost.
Mastering the Phase-Shift Teleport Dash
Your primary defensive countermeasure is the Phase-Shift engine. Activating the dash causes your vessel to dematerialize, leaping 120 pixels forward along your flight vector in approximately 120 milliseconds. During this transition, your collision hitboxes are completely disabled. This enables advanced maneuvers such as "Bait and Blink"—allowing a swarm of hunter drones to dive directly at you, then phase-dashing directly through them so they collide with one another or overshoot your position.
Three Calibrated Difficulty Levels
- Easy Mode (Cadet): 3 lives, gentle drone acceleration, rapid 1.5-second dash cooldown, and frequent shield item drops.
- Medium Mode (Pilot): 2 lives, faster tracking drones, periodic sweeping perimeter laser walls, and 2.5-second dash cooldown.
- Hard Mode (Ace Survivor): 1 single life, hyper-aggressive seeker swarms, dual laser sweeper beams, and 3.5-second dash cooldown.
